Linear Guide Carriages & Guide Rails
Linear guide carriages and rails are comprised of two main components.
- A specially profiled, hard-anodized aluminum rail supports the carriage as it slides, traveling back and forth in a straight line.
- A linear bearing carriage is comprised of an aluminum plate with die-cast zinc blocks. The sliding element is a specially formulated polymer material best suited for hard anodized aluminum rails. This combination results in low abrasion, leading to precise movement and positioning.
The preconfigured parallel rails speed up assembly by removing alignment issues. The rail and carriage combo are compact and simple to install. Carriage and rails support high torque with a low (wide) profile of the carriage and rails.
Heavy Duty Linear Guide Systems
Our heavy-duty linear guide system is available in two sizes, 40 and 80.
Features include:
- Low friction without lubrication
- Resistance to dirt and dust
- Low weight
- Quiet operation
- Low wear
- Maintenance-free
Low Profile Linear Guide Systems
Our compact, lightweight, low-profile linear guide system is ideal when space is tight. The carriage glides smoothly on an anodized aluminum rail without the need for lubrication. The rails are offered in sizes 17, 27, 40, and 80.
Unlike our heavy-duty system, the rail for this system is a track that accepts the carriage, allowing it to glide. The glide pads are made of a special polymer that is best suited for hard anodized aluminum rails.
Features include:
- Low friction without lubrication
- Resistance to dirt and dust
- Small mounting height and width
- Lightweight
- Replaceable polymer sliding elements.
- Low-cost alternative to miniature ball bearing systems.
