Straight Tooth Miter Gears

What is a Miter Gears?
Miter gears are a type of bevel gear where the two rotational axes intersect. Because miter gears have the same number of teeth (1:1 ratio), miter gears lack the ability to increase or decrease speed. Their function is restricted to the direction shift of transmission.
Since miter gears are part of the bevel gear family, they have the same basic characteristics as other bevel gears, including the availability of straight, spiral, and zerol gear shapes.
There are also miter gears with non 90° (non-perpendicular) angles known as angular miter gears. Since the shafts can be adjusted to any angle, angular miter gears are available with shaft angles at 45°, 60°, and 120°.
Available Miter Gear Materials:
- Acetal
- Aluminum
- Brass
- Die Cast Zinc
- Nylon
- Stainless Steel
- Steel
