Spline-Type Flexible Couplings

Spline-type couplings are a 3-piece design comprised of two identical hubs made from either die-cast zinc alloy or sintered metal with a polyurethane spline. They are also known as serration-type couplings. They have excellent flexibility; the max. lateral offset is.008" (0.2 mm) and the max. angular offset is 2°. They have good torque transmissibility, absorb torsional vibration, and are electrically isolating. They are suitable for applications requiring low noise, vibration dampening, and high rpm. Spline-type couplings are resistant to oil and abrasion and do not require lubrication.
