Heavy-Duty Bellows Couplings
MATERIAL:
Hubs: Brass
Bellows: Phosphor Bronze
Set Screws: Stainless Steel
Finish: Tin Plate
MISALIGNMENT COMPENSATION:
Max. Angular Offset: 6°
Max. Lateral Offset: .015
Other bores, finishes available on special order.
Flexible shaft bellows couplings have two clamping hubs attached to a number of flexible bronze corrugations (bellows).
As the motor heats up, the corrugations absorb axial stresses brought on by thermal expansion. Compared to elastomer couplings, bellows couplings can withstand higher working temperatures.
